International Trade Techniques

Managing international trade operations of goods requires a set of skills related to transport modes, insurance, customs rules... Throughout the course, students will learn how to skillfully manage the main export assistance operations.
Teaching method is based on discussing concepts and methods and working on business cases.

Chapter 1: An introduction to the International trade techniques with a focus on maritime freight (FCL, LCL, RoRo, types of containers….).

Chapter 2: Practical and strategic aspects of the INCOTERMS 2020

Chapter 3: Pricing techniques for international transport (sea, air and road freights)

Chapter 4: Managing an export or import operation (including customs operations)

1. Be able to manage import and export customs operations
2. Being able to secure a transaction by choosing an appropriate Incoterms.
3. Know how to calculate international freight and make an export quotation
