The Making of the United States of America in the 19th Century
This course will focus on the history of the United States from the American Revolution to the end of the nineteenth century. Topics will include military history, economic and territorial expansion, slavery, social change, the making of the American national identity, the Civil War, Reconstruction and the emergence of modern America.
